SCOUT is part of Survalent's Station Controller product line, functioning not only as an RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) or a simple data collection station but also as a device that serves as a Terminal Server and Web Server. SCOUT supports a wide variety of communication ports and provides I/O signal connectivity through a modular structure.

Analog Inputs (per Scout module): 256 via 16 I/O expansion boards, configurable input ranges: +/-1mA, +/-20mA, +/-5V, +/-10V, with a sampling rate of 2 seconds, accuracy ±0.2% of full scale
Digital Outputs (per Scout module): 256 Control Outputs, Select—Check—Operate sequence. Supports momentary, pulsed, or latched outputs.
Supported protocols: DNP3.0 (serial or over TCP/IP), IEC 60870-5-101/104, Modbus RTU/TCP, TeleGyr 8979, QUICS4/QUIN, IEC 61850, SEL Protocol, Cooper 2179, IEC 60870-5-103, etc.
