On June 21st, 2023, Viet Nam User Conference 2023 (VN UC 2023), following the Theme “Towards a Greener Smart Grid Vision,” was co-organized by Survalent Technology Company (STC) and My Phuong Trading Co., Ltd (MP Co).
8 years 10 months 9 days ago, on August 12th 2014, the signing ceremony of cooperation in applying SCADA/ADMS software to the power distribution grid between STC and Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) took place.
Those were the first days that the Survalent software solution was officially approved and put into operation in the power distribution grid at EVNCPC. Nowadays, Survalent software has made effective contributions in each step of the development to bring automation and 4.0 technology into practice in Vietnam’s power grids–the goal that Vietnam Electricity has proposed over the years.
With the goal and mission set forth, Survalent software has ensured a reliable power supply in 60 years and will look towards an increasingly environmentally friendly engineering future. With the above spirit, STC and MP Co co-organized "Vietnam User Conference 2023" with the Theme: ‘Towards a Greener Smart Grid Vision” that spanned across 2 days: June 21 and 22, 2023.
The Vietnam User Conference (VN UC) 2023 was pleased to welcome more than 130 honored guests from the Power Corporations, Companies under Vietnam Electricity, the investment Corporations, Management of Industrial Parks, ... during the 2-days conference.
Representatives of the Organizing Committee and SCADA/DMS software manufacturer - Survalent Technology had the opportunity to meet and interact with customers who are using software solutions of Survalent.

In the inauguration ceremony of the VN UC 2023, Mr. Young Ngo–Technical Director of Survalent Technology/Canada–was invited to have a brief speech, in which he expressed his deep gratitude to MP Co. and the invited customers who use Survalent software in Vietnam.
Next, Ms. Nguyen Chau Giang–Director of My Phuong Trading Co., Ltd., representative of Survalent Software Distributor in Vietnam–shared with the conference the achievements that the Company and Survalent have achieved in more than 10 years in the Vietnam market and thanked the delegates for their conference attendance. My Phuong Trading Co., Ltd and Survalent wish to make their contribution to the mutual cooperation and assistance to all power companies under Vietnam Electricity for their high achievements in the country, and more Power Companies with high rankings in ASEAN Power community.
Mr. Syed Qasim Hasan–General Manager/Chief Revenue Officer of Survalent/Canada)–presented general updates on Survalent's products and future strategic directions.
In addition, Mr. Syed Qasim Hasan presented updated information on ADMS software development roadmap and orientation, practical application trends in the world, and research and development work to improve Survalent products. Mr. Young Ngo–Technical General Director of Survalent Technology–then provided a detailed presentation on Survalent and advanced data analysis tools/methods in ADMS software applications.
On the first day of the conference, in addition to the presentations, there have been many valuable comments/feedback from customers who have been using SCADA/DMS software of Survalent Technology at remote control centers and have saw many successful results during that time.
Mr. Tran Ho Dang Khoa–Head of SCADA Department, Dispatch Center of HCMC Power System, Representative of HCMC Electricity Corporation–presented the smart grid system of HCMC Power Corporation and shared its effectiveness in improving the power supply reliability indicators when deploying electrical system automation operation (FLISR function) with Survalent/Canada software application. Since then, this has helped Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation improve its position in the smart grid ranking of power companies in the region and the world.
Next was the speech of the Representative of Da Nang Power Company Limited, one of the first Electricity Power companies to deploy automation using Survalent's DMS/FLISR function in Vietnam. Mr. Hoang Dang Nam–Head of Dispatch Department, Da Nang Electricity–introduced SCADA/DMS central system of Da Nang Power Company and shared its effectiveness in improving SAIDI, SAIFI indices of the power supply when deploying automatic operation of the system using Survalent/Canada software for more than 8 years
In the afternoon at 13:30 h, the conference program continued with Mr. Young Ngo’s presentation and practical demo simulation of the software technology solution for operation management of the Distributed Energy Resources Management (DERM) integrated with Survalent's ADMS system.
After concluding the presentation with a lot of useful information about the distributed energy system management software technology solution (DERM), the Conference moved to the Q&A session about the solutions and features of the DERM. Participants raised many questions to the speakers to jointly clarify issues about Survalent's new DERM system.
Dr. Nguyen Huu Phuc (Technical Advisor to MP Co.), Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai (Deputy Technical Director of MP Co.), and the company's technical team of Survalent and MP Co.
At the end of the first-day conference, the Organizing Committee thanked the exchanged ideas and suggestions of all delegates stating these valuable contributions will help the Company to improve its solutions and installation process.

On the second conference day, the Organizing Committee was honored to welcome the leaders along with more than 50 officials and technical experts of the Corporations and the Power companies under the Vietnam Electricity Group, who have strong interests in Survalent software applications. The conference focused on technical topics of the simulation systems, for DMS functions such as: Power Flow, Distribution State Estimation (DSE), and Short Circuits. Survalent Technology's experienced technical experts shared their experiences in effectively configuring SCADA/DMS functions.
Next was the introduction to the practice and simulation of the software. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai–Deputy Technical Director of MP Co.–shared and introduced the workstation system for staff to have the opportunity to learn and gain hands-on experience on the computer.
Focusing on software technical details, Mr. Andrew–Survalent Field Solutions Consultant, Asia Pacific–presented, introduced, and simulated the function of importing GIS data into SCADA/DMS/OMS system and performing simulation calculations of DMS functions such as Power Flow, DSE, Short Circuit on Survalent's ADMS software.
After Mr. Andrew's presentation, delegates continued to share and exchange opinions during the light tea party.
Mr. Rudy Thiara–Survalent Field Solutions Specialist–presented the implementation of simulation calculations of DMS Power Flow, DSE, Short Circuit functions on Survalent's ADMS software.
At the end of the second day morning, the Organizing Committee and technical experts of Corporations and Power Companies under Vietnam Electricity had photos to capture beautiful moments of the conference.

Continuing the program at 13:30 pm on June 22, 2023, Mr. Andrew Cruz (Asia Pacific Solutions Consultant) and Mr. Rudy Thiara (Field Solutions Specialist) presented their experiences in configuring and operating Scada/DMS effectively to help customers implement advanced DMS functionality effectively in future.

At the end of the second-day conference, the Organizing Committee expressed its gratitude to its customers and shared the orientations of the future cooperation of MPCo. with Utilities.
Vietnam User Conference 2023 with the theme: “Towards a Greener Smart Grid Vision” jointly organized by Survalent and My Phuong Company ended at 17:00h on 22.06.2023.
After 2 intense days of active working with many lively exchanges and discussions, the conference took place successfully and had very valuable and useful, constructive ideas to contribute to the building and operation of Vietnam's smart grid system, in joint efforts “Towards an Environmentally Friendly Smart Grid Vision”.
