MPCo has participated in supplying 35kV, 5MVAr capacitor banks of Cooper with reactor for this project
Following the direction of the Northern Power Corporation in reducing power loss and improving voltage quality, the Northern High Voltage Grid Company implemented a plan to install medium voltage capacitor banks for 110kV substations managed by the Company. Quy Hop 110kV substation is the first 110kV substation to install a 35kV capacitor bank with a 5MVAr capacity.
