- After that, in 2013, MPCo continued to supply this equipment to 32 stations under the management of NGC including 110kV Tien Hai, Long Boi, Thai Binh, Pho Cao, Thieu Yen, Nui Mot, Muc Son, Ha Trung, Tuan Giao, Dien Bien, Quynh Luu, Quy Hop, Nghia Dan, Go Dam, Cao Bang, Do Luong, Son La, Moc Chau, Bac Kan, Hoa Binh, Vo Cuong, Doi Coc, Phu Ly, Thach To, Thach Linh, Linh Cam, Dong Mo, Lang Son, Phuc Yen, Vinh Yen, Trinh Xuyen, Airport. The total number of lightning arresters of all kinds is 295 sets.
Northern High Voltage Grid Company (NGC) is responsible for supplying electricity to the major political and economic centers of the Northern provinces. The 110kV substations under the management of NGC have been put into operation for a long time and most of the equipment in the substation is originated from the Soviet Union and China. Over time, the equipment has deteriorated and cannot guarantee a reliable power supply. In 2012, NGC started to implement to replace PBC-110 type gap arresters with gapless types with new technology manufactured by Cooper of the US.
